Ayurvedic Yoga for Summer

In Ayurveda, summer is pitta season. Pitta’s hot, sharp and fiery qualities accumulate in the summer. In this mini workshop we’ll use the wisdom of ayurveda and yoga to learn how to keep those qualities balanced. Yoga asana, pranayama (breathing practice), and lifestyle practices will all be explored.

This workshop is offered both in person and via livestream. In person attendance is limited due to COVID protocol, and masks are required indoors at all times. Everyone registered (both livestream and in person registrations) will receive 48 hour access to the workshop recording.

Rest and Restore with Yoga Nidra, the sleep of the yogi.

Nidra is the Sanskrit word for sleep. Yoga Nidra is the "sleep of the yogi". In this 90 minute practice you'll be guided through the 5 koshas (layers of being) into the realm between sleep and wakefulness. You’ll emerge from the practice feeling rested and whole. We will conclude the practice with reflective journaling while sharing an ayurvedic favorite, lemon/ginger tea.

You will be lying down for the entire practice, please feel free to bring any pillows or blankets that will make you comfortable.

In person and live streaming options available. Both in person and live stream attendees will receive 48 hour access to the class recording. In person space is limited for COVID protocols and masks are required at all times while indoors at our studio.

Spring Cleanse for Body, Mind, and Spirit

Spring is the season of renewal and rebirth, and the perfect time to give your body, mind and spirit a reset. It's time to lift the heavy, stagnant qualities of winter and and move into the coming months with a "spring" in your step.

This 2 week program hosted by Carrie Klaus will include daily yoga, meditation, and/or contemplation/journaling practice. Access to our free Facebook group for support, recipes, checklists, and other support materials. Week one will be a preparatory week, week 2 will consist of a 5 day Ayurvedic mono-diet kitchari cleanse followed by two days of reintegration.

We will also have (optional) Zoom calls throughout the two weeks for extra encouragement, guidance, and support.

Intro to Meditation: A Journey Inward (ON-LINE EVENT)

One thing is certain in the midst of this global crisis, we all need to build our resiliency. Resiliency is the ability to bounce back from an adverse situation. As we learn to manage our anxieties, fears and worries we build our resiliency.

Through the practices of mindfulness and meditation we discover that we are resilient and able to navigate the challenges and struggles of life in a more calm and relaxed manner.

There are many misperceptions about meditation. In this workshop series we will debunk those misperceptions, uncover how meditation works, and learn to practice some of the most common meditation techniques.

This is a 4 part series meeting Thursday, August 20 6pm-8pm, Thursday, August 27 6pm - 7pm, Thursday, September 3 6pm-7pm, and Thursday September 24 6pm - 7pm

**These sessions will NOT be recorded for later viewing, all participants are encouraged to attend "live" via Zoom for each meeting.

Also learn safe modifications for chaturanga, and the significant differences between "knees, chest, chin" variation and true chaturanga.

We'll end the afternoon with an asana practice of deeply relaxing and restorative postures for your tired shoulders, arms and chest.

This workshop is designed to help students safely practice chaturanga, and provide beneficial information for teachers.

Teachers registered with the Yoga Alliance can earn 3 contact hours toward their continuing education requirements.
